品質監督
根據《建築物條例》第17(1)條第6項,在批准圖則時會施加條件,要求註冊結構工程師和註冊承建商呈交品質監督計劃,為經批准圖則所示工程所使用的鋼化玻璃,對生產商的熱浸程序進行品質監督。
註冊結構工程師須委派一名品質控制監工,負責監督一定數量的鋼化玻璃板進行熱浸程序 。此外,註冊結構工程師亦須定出所需的監督次數。監督工作須涵蓋工程所使用的鋼化玻璃板的最少 30%。品質控制監工的資格和經驗的最低要求,應與《 2009 年地盤監督作業守則》所訂明的註冊結構工程師工作班子下T3職級適任技術人員的資格和經驗的最低要求相同 。
註冊承建商須委派一名品質控制監工,負責長期在工廠內全日監督所有鋼化玻璃板的熱浸程序。品質控制監工的資格和經驗的最低要求,應與《2009 年地盤監督作業守則》所訂明的註冊承建商工作班子下T1職級適任技術人員的資格和經驗的最低要求相同。為確保玻璃生產商妥善進行熱浸程序,品質控制監工須以自己的資料記錄器獨立量度玻璃表面溫度。資料記錄器所記錄的資料須設定為每一分鐘記錄一次,並存放在工廠內。

Glass Quality Supervision
According to Item 6 of Article 17(1) of the Buildings Ordinance, conditions will be imposed when the plans are approved, requiring registered structural engineers and registered contractors to submit quality supervision plans. For the tempered glass used in the project shown in the approved plans, the manufacturer’s hot soak process is monitored for quality.
The registered structural engineer shall appoint a quality control supervisor who is responsible for supervising a certain number of tempered glass panels for the hot soak process. In addition, the registered structural engineer must also determine the number of supervisions required. The supervision work shall cover at least 30% of the tempered glass panels used in the project. The minimum requirements for qualifications and experience of quality control supervisors shall be the same as the minimum requirements for the qualifications and experience of qualified technicians at the T3 rank under the working team of registered structural engineers as stipulated in the Code of Practice for Site Supervision 2009.
The registered contractor shall appoint a quality control supervisor to be responsible for the long-term and full-day supervision of the hot soak process of all tempered glass panels in the factory. The minimum requirements for qualifications and experience of quality control supervisors should be the same as the minimum requirements for qualifications and experience of qualified technicians at the T1 rank under the working team of registered contractors as stipulated in the Code of Practice for Site Supervision 2009. In order to ensure that the glass manufacturer properly conducts the hot soak process, the quality control supervisor must independently measure the surface temperature of the glass with his own data recorder. The data recorded by the data recorder must be set to record once every minute and stored in the factory.
The name and qualifications of registered structural engineers and the quality control supervisors of registered contractors must be recorded in an inspection record book. The details of the tempered glass plate hot soak process must also be recorded in the record book and stored in the factory.
According to Article 10 of the Building (Administration) Regulations, regulations will be imposed when plans are approved, requiring registered structural engineers to submit a quality supervision report before applying for an occupation permit. The report must include a statement signed by a registered structural engineer confirming that adequate supervision has been provided in accordance with the quality supervision plan; a copy of the quality control of the supervisor’s hot dip procedure inspection record book of the registered structural engineer team and the registered contractor team as specified in paragraph 23 above; and a soft copy of the data logger record specified in paragraph 22 above.
